Door Locks

I've been working on my Bonito fitting the doors and window frames etc. According the FT instruction manual the door locks are from Beetle but they will not fit my doors. My kit is a UK AED made in the mid 1980's. Other differences are the rear window which is from a Ford Escort Mk3/4. Does anyone know what door locks AED specified for their version of the Bonito? Both the door and the body have a recess for the lock and the striker plate rather than just the body on the FT mouldings. Anyone got an AED kit or seen one?

Door locks are from vw beetle rear boot.
So you need to strip 2 beetles.
Normaly rear window is from Opel commodore coupe from end 60's.

I should be able to use the Beetle door handles but the lock mechanism and striker plate will not fit the fiberglass moulding of my car. Looking at the shape of the mouldings I think they might be designed for MGB components. I have bought some off ebay so hopefully they will fit.

Ik zou de deurhandvatten van een Kever moeten kunnen gebruiken, maar het slotmechanisme en de slotpen passen niet in dat deel van mijn body. Als ik zo eens kijk, lijkt het meer geschikt gemaakt voor MGB-onderdelen. Die heb ik nu gekocht op Ebay en hopelijk passen die wel !

i Have made de locks from an Volvo 360 ,
size is small and thin.
An another bonito driver said that too me , he have it also.
I you want a new windscreem a have the nr from it soo you can take a new screem from factory.
